What is heartworm, you ask? Heartworm is a parasite that is spread to both dogs and cats by infected mosquitoes. Affected animals develop worms that live in their heart and can cause heart disease and death if untreated.

Heartworm is becoming more prevalent in Wyoming. The good news is, the disease is very easily preventable.

With a single pill or topical medication given once monthly, heartworm disease can be prevented.

If you are concerned about your pet getting hearworm come in and get a heartworm test.
